INFORMATION FOR BUYER'S
  • Viewing for General Sales is on Tuesday prior to sale from 12pm till 7pm and morning of the sale from 9am.
  • Buyers should register with the Auctioneers prior to bidding and receive a bidding number. This is a one off process and the same number is used for all future sales.
  • A Buyers premium of 12.5% + VAT at the current rate will be added to the hammer price.
  • Commission Bids may be left with the Auctioneers by completing a Commission Bid Form, carefully showing lot number, bid price and buyer number. The auctioneer will then bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid level. Bids do not include Buyer’s Premium or any VAT.
  • This service is given on a courtesy basis and no responsibility will be placed on the Auctioneer for failing to secure the goods. Please check with the Sale Room by 5pm on sale day to check if your bids have been successful.
  • Telephone Bids may be undertaken by prior arrangement with the Auctioneer. No responsibility will be placed on the auctioneer if it is not possible to contact the buyer at the time lot(s) are offered for sale.
  • Unless otherwise stated all goods are sold with no warranty and become the responsibility of the buyer on the fall of the hammer.
  • Buyers are assumed to have satisfied themselves as to the condition of potential purchases before the sale.
  • Purchases must be paid for at the Main Office where a receipt will be issued. Goods purchased will only be released on issue of this receipt to a Porter.
  • Multiple items on a single invoice cannot be split.
  • Payment is accepted by Cash, Cheque (with cheque guarantee card), Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa & Mastercard. Payments made by Credit cards will be subject to a 1.5% surcharge.Cheques under £20 are subject to surcharge of 50p.
  • Buyers are asked to make every reasonable effort to collect all purchases within 24 hours of end of sale. Where this is not possible, alternative arrangements should be made with the Head Porter or Main Office. We also offer a delivery service for which there is a small charge.
  • Where no arrangement has been made with PAR for collection of purchases, goods could be re-entered for the next sale with no reserve, The original buyer will be held responsible for any shortfall between original bid price and new bid price.
